  • Interim Appointments
    Dear Faculty and Staff:

I wanted to notify the campus of recent interim appointments, all of which will be effective July 1, 2012.

Mr. Butch Stokes has announced his retirement effective June 30, 2012. He has provided excellent leadership as Registrar, and I thank him for his fine service
to MSU. Starting July 1, 2012, Dr. Lynn Reinschmiedt and Ms. Linda Buehler will serve as Interim Co-Registrars. I am confident that they will provide excellent interim leadership. We will begin a national search as soon as possible to identify a permanent Registrar.

Dr. Gary Myers has announced his decision to return the faculty with his service as Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences ending on June 30, 2012. Dean Myers
has advanced the college and helped strengthen its programs. I am grateful for his leadership. Starting July 1st, Dr. Greg Dunaway will take over as Interim
Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. Dr. Dunaway has an excellent record of administrative leadership and will assist the college through the transition. A
national search will begin in the fall.

A great debt of gratitude is owed to Drs. Allison Pearson and Julia Hodges for their able leadership in guiding AOCE through this past 6 months or so. Starting July 1st, Dr. Steve Taylor will take over as Interim Executive Director. I am confident in Dr. Taylor's ability to continue the great work of Drs. Pearson and Hodges in the interim role.
